IN MEMORY OF
Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are over the loss of our best friend, Drifter. We are thankful for the years we were able to spend with him as he taught both children & adults how to ride.
When we first had the opportunity to own Drifter we were unsure if he would fit into our program, but we had a good feeling about him. That feeling was right! The first day we used him for a lead-line lesson, we knew he was a once-in-a-lifetime horse.
Being able to share Drifter with all of our lesson kids and adults has truly been a blessing. He was our go-to guy for any level rider. He was our mascot for every event. He was our canvas for painting parties. He was a confidence booster. He was a trick riding horse, a barrel horse and a team sorter. Always living up to his name, Drifter loved to drift to the middle of the arena for a midday nap. We are so thankful that he was loved by so many of our students, friends and family.
We know that he will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to meet him, and we are so grateful that we got to make so many great memories with him. We love you, Drifter!
"Friends forever, never apart...maybe in distance but never at heart."
The entire Hanging Heart Ranch family would like to thank Jay Mannino for the opportunity to have TC as part of our herd. We are incredibly grateful to have had the chance to love, and be loved by, our sweet, snuggly, goofy paint horse.
Before his career as a lesson horse, TC was a ranch horse down in Santa Ynez, exploring and leading trail rides. TC enjoyed teaching both kid and adult riding lessons, and was such a sweetheart with first time students, even giving the occasional hug. He was such a trooper at our Summer Camps as well, ensuring that every rider had fun, even with his bouncy trot!
We are so heartbroken over the loss of this sweet and gentle lesson horse. Although he was only with us for a short time, he will be in our hearts forever...our "Texas Cowboy".
